In accordance with the law, all Employees are guaranteed freedom of association and the right to join trade unions. The management boards of the Group’s companies carefully analyse all petitions submitted by trade unions, and the ongoing dialogue with trade union representatives is conducive to sharing insights and developing satisfactory solutions.

The Employees can impact the functioning of both the Group and their respective companies by electing representatives to supervisory boards (in the majority of the Group’s companies1) and to Employee councils (currently only in Enea Elektrownia Połaniec SA). They can also report complaints about violations of their rights and other irregularities.

In 2019, we signed a social accord which, among other things, sets out the principles of stabilising employment.  Additionally, in response to the postulates of trade unions in respect of renumeration increases, every year we conduct salary negotiations, unless the parties agree otherwise – the year 2021, when an agreement governing remuneration raises in 2021 and 2022 was signed, was such a case. Social stakeholders actively cooperate with employers in making amendments to internal work regulations.

In 2021, LWB established a Team in charge of negotiating amendments to the Internal Collective Bargaining Agreement with trade unions and clarifying any disputable provisions of that Agreement. As regards other Group’s companies, dedicated task forces are appointed when internal collective bargaining agreements need amending.
