Selected HR initiatives carried out in 2023

In 2023, we launched various initiatives that impacted our Employees, for instance:

  • We implemented the complex programme for the optimisation of HR-related matters to make them simpler and more consistent.
  • We continued our efforts linked with digitalising HR processes – we worked on introducing electronic workflow (recruitment requests, change-of-conditions requests, requests for development activities).
  • We were involved in a number of employer branding activities that consistently aimed at attracting and retaining Employees and building a human resources base for the Group’s companies. These were, for example:
    • activities targeted at students and graduates, including promotion of the traineeship and apprenticeship programme “Zainstaluj się w Enei” as well as signing a cooperation agreement with Poznań University of Economics,
    • activities targeted at students of technical and vocational schools as part of our cooperation with endorsed schools in the region of the companies’ operation (including arranging the 5th edition of the scholarship contest),
    • Moc na start” – our initiative aimed to strengthen the relationship between the school environment and the energy industry,
    • initiatives aimed at promoting new technologies and knowledge about them, e.g. the educational programme: “Zasileni wiedzą” and a conference organised for teachers and students entitled: “Cooperation – Energy – Future”,
    • promoting job offers among job seekers, professionals and specialists, as well as maintaining employer profiles in social media,
    • activities for the benefit of our current Employees – our Employee Zone on the intranet, competitions, pro-family Employee campaigns (such as “Dwie Godziny dla Rodziny” [Two Hours for the Family] or “Dzień Energetyka [Power Engineer’s Day] and promotion of ethical values that arise from the Code of Ethics of the ENEA Group.
  • Our HR policy was focused on building an experienced team of professionals and developing leadership among managers. Our Employees benefited from a wide range of development activities. We also systematically expanded the library of educational materials in the internal Development Zone on the intranet.
  • We verified our incentive systems to match the Group’s needs.
  • We continued our initiatives for the cultural development and better fitness of our Employees and their families. Among others, we organised the following events in 2023:
    • regular ballet classes for children and adults at the Grand Theater in Poznań,
    • vocal emission workshops for adults,
    • workshops in modern dance and movement improvisation,
    • music and singing workshops,
    • tap dance workshops in the Music Theater in Poznań for our Employees’ children,
    • dance and fitness classes for children and adults in the KG Studio – Kolejorz Girls Cheerleaders,
    • tennis training in the Olimpia Tennis Park,
    • fencing training for children in the Warta Sports Club,
    • handball training for children with the University Sports Union Poznań,
    • soccer training for children in the Warta Poznań Sports Club,
    • access to the IM Inspiration app,
    • sports events, e.g. Poland Business Run, Enea Academy of Sport, Enea June 1956 Run.

BEST PRACTICES

  • We run the Enea Team sports program which offers our Employees access to instructor advice and classes in running, cycling, swimming, dancing, rowing and fencing. As from 2023 the programme also includes yoga, stretching, Pilates and other events organised under the Sportgas initiative (e.g. soccer, sailing and tennis tournaments). This project has been designed for people interested in active lifestyle and preparing to take part in sports events. Every member of the Enea Team has access to unique training materials and supports the charitable initiative „Biegamy – Zbieramy – Pomagamy” [Jogging – Collecting – Helping].
  • The Enea Group also organises the “Enea na sportowo” contest to promote physical fitness and active ways of spending free time.
